Music: Perfect for the drama - I especially loved the OST by 'The One': "Thorn", and "Letter" by Jung Hyun Lee Nam Goong Min as Je Pak Sa was a wonderful addition to the cast in the latter half (I think he was introduced in episode 11) - His presence made the depressing atmosphere of the drama not so depressing lol - he was a light shining in the darkness you could say ^_^ His appearance for me was totally unexpected (as I didn't know he was in this drama) but I welcomed him with open arms! I loved his pursuit of Young Yi ^_^ She may have been a bit misguided early on but by watching her sister turmoil she changes. (Plus she had great fashion sense!) She is a really loving sister to her older sister, she truly appreciates and loves her. Lee Tae Ran as Young Yi (She's the reason I decided to watch the drama) was definitely my favorite character, I really enjoyed her character, her hurts, pain, her looking on her own relationship after seeing her sister and her love in the latter half of the drama. But I began to appreciate him in the end. Sun Hyun Joo as Sung Moon I really despised his character early on - he was a real jerk. She had a hard life and wasn't appreciated by her in-laws until too late. Her acting was great - you will cry for her and with her. Also we have the main leads sister (who is also a main lead) who happens to be in an illicit affair herself with her first love who left her for money & power - her story will develop and shift focus halfway through as well ^_^Ĭast: Choi Jin Shil as Sun Yi a woman who saves money and lives as thriftily as possible who married a man 3yrs younger and has 2 children and after 10yrs of marriage finds out about her husbands affair and the fact that she has cancer.

(The two stories overlap and then separate in the middle - the beginning is more about the affairs and the latter half is more about the disease). Story: About a woman who's husband is cheating on her and she finds out she has an incurable disease. Be prepared for tears T_T I recommend for most people but not anyone who has experienced Cancer by any family member - This drama shows the progress throughout the drama and it gets harder to watch it as it progresses. Rewatch Value 7.0 A drama you must go into emotionally prepared b/c it will tear at you. After learning about her disease, her husband reflects on himself and shows her the genuine meaning of marital love. Just to make things worse, Sun Yi is one day diagnosed with cancer, which to her is tantamount to a death sentence. She dates her first love Lee Jung Do, who is now married to another woman and who broke up with her for the sake of his career in the past.įinally, Sun Yi's younger brother, Chul Soo, earns his doctorate degree in the United States and settles down there, completely ignoring his responsibility of taking care of his father. Sun Yi's younger sister, Maeng Young Yi, is a successful career woman. One day her husband falls in love with an attractive divorced woman and demands a divorce from Sun Yi. Her life continues to present her with endless hardships but she just believes that that is "happiness". She is married to a guy named Ban Sung Moon, her five years junior, and has two daughters with him. She even gave up her own education because she had to work hard to earn her siblings' tuitions. Maeng Sun Yi sacrificed her childhood and youth to taking care of her father, who started drinking heavily after her mother abandoned them when she was 10, and her two younger siblings.
